Product Features
Disc traps are simple, inexpensive, and reliable in operation. Air leakage rate <3%, not affected by pressure fluctuations, wide pressure range. Because the sealing surface is stainless steel, the service life is higher than that of similar domestic products.
Scope of Application
Traps are widely used in urban construction, chemical industry, metallurgy, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, food, beverage, and environmental protection.
Working Principle
There is a valve plate inside the trap, which is both a sensitive part and an actuator. When the device is activated, cooling condensate appears in the piping, and the condensate is rapidly discharged by pushing open the valve plate under operating pressure. When the condensate is discharged, steam enters the trap, the volume of steam expands rapidly, and the flow rate of steam is greater than that of condensate, resulting in a pressure difference between the top and bottom of the valve plate, and the valve plate closes rapidly under the suction of the steam flow rate. When the valve is closed, the valve is subjected to pressure from both sides. The area of force on the bottom of the valve is smaller than the area of force on the top, and because the pressure inside the trap chamber comes from the steam pressure, the force on the top of the valve is greater than that on the bottom, and the valve closes tightly. When the steam inside the trap chamber cools down to condensate, the pressure inside the chamber disappears. The condensate is pushed away from the valve by the working pressure, and the condensate continues to be discharged, working in a circular manner, with intermittent drainage.
