Gate valve refers to the valve whose closing piece (gate) moves in the vertical direction along the centerline of the passage. The gate valve can only be used for full opening and full closing in the pipeline, and cannot be used for regulation and throttling. Gate valve is a valve with a wide range of applications. It is generally used for cut-off devices with a diameter of DN≥50mm, and sometimes also used for cut-off devices with a small diameter.
