On September 21, 2011, the "Development and Industrial Application of S-ZORB Domestic cast stone wear-resistant Ball Valve" jointly developed by SHK Group and Yanshan Petrochemical Co., LTD., organized by Sinopec Science and Technology Department, was successfully held at Sinopec headquarters in Beijing. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Gong Hong of the storage Department, and Director Jia Penglin served as the director of the appraisal committee. 13 experts from Yanshan Branch, Shanghai Kaiweixi Valve Group Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as SHK Group), Sinopec Materials and Equipment Department, Guangzhou Branch, Cangzhou Branch, SEI and other units attended the meeting.

The S-ZORB plant of Yanshan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is the first gasoline-adsorption desulphurization plant built and put into production with Conocophillips patent technology. It is also the most important plant in the production of gasoline for Beijing Standard Ⅳ automobile. The valve used for adsorbent fluidization conveying between the reactor, regenerator and locking hopper of the device is frequently switched on and off, and the working condition is harsh. It is also required to achieve VI class seal and zero leakage, so as to avoid the danger of high-temperature hydrogen and oxygen interseries.

These cast stone wear-resistant ball valves are all imported products before October 2009. Due to the high purchase cost of imported valves, the long supply cycle of spare parts, the lack of technical support and other factors, the long-term safe and stable operation of the device is affected. To this end, since 2009, SHK Group has established a high temperature material testing device and wear-resistant material laboratory, introduced the Japanese robot spraying technology and the first set of high-precision spherical five-axis machining center in China, optimized the manufacturing technology of cast stone wear-resistant ball valve and applied for a patent with independent intellectual property rights, which not only solves the leakage problem caused by dust entering the ball valve sealing surface, It also improves the roundness and matching precision of ball and valve seat, surface finish and wear resistance of valve, providing technical support for the processing and manufacturing of super hard wear-resistant ball valve.

On this basis, SHK Group produced three sets of CL600 and DN80 cast-stone wear-resistant ball valves made in China. The purchase cost of each set was about 180,000 yuan less than that of imported ball valves. One set was randomly selected, and 10,000 switching tests were conducted on the simulation test device of S-ZORB wear-resistant ball valves developed by SHK Group, which reached zero leakage. After expert demonstration, the S-ZORB device of Yanshan Branch installed the above domestically made ball valves on the lock-hopper XV-1009, XV-1006 and XV-1017 and put them into operation on November 12, 2009, January 4, 2010 and March 2, 2010 respectively. Among them, the cast stone wear-resistant ball valve at position XV-1009 has been running stably for 22 months, fully meeting the process production requirements, indicating that the overall technology of the domestic cast stone wear-resistant ball valve has reached the international advanced level.
